At Stanza, We’ve been hard at work building a better way to find, follow, and manage the calendars you care about most. Whether it’s sports, TV, music, or local events, our mission remains the same: help you spend your time more meaningfully.
In our last update, we shared how discovery on Stanza was getting a major refresh—with tags now playing the central role in how you browse our growing calendar library.
Today, we’re taking that a step further.

🚀 Introducing: Personalized Discovery
We've created a brand new Personalize page where you can view tags across different categories, and save tags to your profile.
You'll then see your saved tags show up under a new "For You" section on your homepage.
Want to follow:
- 🏌️ PGA (now includes Korn Ferry Tour)
- 🏆 Playoffs (NBA, NHL, and more)
- 🏎️ Formula 1 and 🏁 NASCAR
- 🏉 Rugby League
Just tap the ✩ icon next to the tag, and you'll start seeing relevant calendars within the "For You" section.
This is especially useful for seasonal content—maybe you don’t want 🏟️March Madness in your calendar year-round, but you do want to be the first to know when it returns. Soon, you’ll get email alerts when new calendars are added to your saved tags.

We'll be using your tags and added calendars to recommend other events and calendars on the platform you may love. This will be automatically turned on for Stanza+ members.

🔒 Some Calendars Are Now Member-Exclusive
With Stanza+, you now get access to a curated collection of exclusive calendars—built and maintained by our internal team, often in partnership with rights holders and official sources.
These include:
- Pre-season, post-season and tournament calendars
- Curated streaming schedules for niche sports
- All TV and movie calendars
- Specialized calendars with richer descriptions, links, and real-time updates

🔍 Search + Discovery: A Quiet Facelift
While most of the work is behind the scenes, we’ve made major improvements to how search and discovery operate. Our systems now:
- Better understand recent user behavior (to improve relevance and recency)
- Prioritize tagged calendars as they're verified and accurate
- Re-rank results so you see more relevant results at the top of the list

→ ICYMI: You can find related calendars by clicking on “Related Calendars” on event cards.
Clicking on Related Calendars will show other calendars that you may want to subscribe to. These recommendations are based on relevance and popularity. This works exceptionally well for sports & TV and continues to be improved upon for other categories of calendars.
